Island Impact Ministries
a non-profit organization was founded by
Robert and Kelli Nelson of Southampton,
NY in December 2003.
Robert and Kelli, drawing from their
many years of experience in Haiti ,
began Island Impact to bring education and
basic medical care to the poorest people of
the Dominican Republic.
Island Impact partners with local
Dominican leaders assisting their schools
by providing child sponsorship, primary
medical care and building improvements,
using work teams from the
United States, Canada and Europe.  
We have received enough
Funds topay for our surgical
candidates.  All extra funds will
be used to purchase a pair of
new glasses for a school child
in need of vision Care!
