The main clinic in Villa Maranatha, opened in 2005. The clinic providess General Health Clinics, a Vision Center, and Dental services.
The La Cienaga Clinic opened in 2009 and provides General Health Care, A Women's Health Center, and Dental Services.
Year Round Clinic Staff
Long after the visiting medical team has gone home, patients will continue to come to Island Impact's clinics for assistance with their health care needs. To meet those needs and provide critical follow up, two out-patient clinics have been established on the North Coast. The Island Impact medical staff work tirelessly, often long after the clinic is closed to help the local residents get the care they need. Your donations keep these clinics operating.
IIM Medical Director, Dr. Arismendis Hernandez Aybar. Dr. Hernandez is a family practitioner. He also works with the governement agency SESPAS, responsible for the community Health initiative in the country.
Clinic Administrator, Susy Cabrera. She is responsible for is for overseeing the non-medical staff, interact with the local officials and assist visiting teams with their medical outreach.
Dr. Rafael Ventura is the dentist for IIM. He also supervises foreign dental interns that visit to earn school credit.
Optometrist, Rosalia Baez
The digital refractor calculates eye prescriptions. Patients are given a pair of new frames, donated by Marchon Eye Wear, NY for a nominal fee paid by the patient for the custom lenses.
